Questions about Portuguese courses in Lisbon

Can I enquire before receiving a residence permit?

Yes, you can contact LICA to ask about courses. Before enrolment, our team will explain the documents and admission conditions for your chosen course.

Can I start learning Portuguese as a beginner?

Tell admissions if you are starting from zero or have studied before. We will help you check the available beginner and A1–A2 learning options.

What certificate will I receive?

Ask admissions to confirm the certificate, issuing organisation and completion requirements for your chosen course before enrolling. A course-completion certificate is not automatically proof accepted for every official application.

Does a Portuguese course give me residency or citizenship?

Completing a language course does not by itself grant a residence permit or Portuguese citizenship. Language evidence is only one part of certain applications. Confirm the applicable requirements and accepted certificates with the relevant authority.

How can I check schedules, fees and the next intake?

Browse the courses on this page or contact our team on WhatsApp or Messenger. Confirm the current schedule, fees and start date before applying.
